What are the types of Indian visas?

What is a VISA?


Visa is a must required document that gives the permit for the person to enter, exit, or stay for a specific period of time in a country. It contains the details Name of the passenger, photo of the passenger, passport number, visa type, bar code, Issued, and expiry dates. Depending on the purpose of visiting the visa type will be changed and holding the wrong type of visa will not permit the passenger to enter the country.

Types of Indian VISAS:


Tourist Visa :


> Foreigners who want to visit India for tourist purpose they must need a valid Indian

Employment Visa :

Student Visa :


> Students to pursue their studies in Indian Universities and Institutions required to be an Indian student Visa holder.

> It may cost 6,000/- to 8,000/- INR


Transit Visa :


> Passengers from foreign nations traveling to other foreign nations through India to change their flight are known as Transit passengers. They need a transit visa to land and change their flight in Indian airports.

> Valid for 15 days and not extendable.

Journalist Visa :

Entry Visa :
